The infamous SOPA and PIPA though, are gutted after huge backlash from internet critters AND my now favorite US lawmaker; Let me introduce the only gamer in the House of Representatives, Jared Polis (he’s looking forward to Diablo 3!). In amending the new law he turns the tables on the drafters in a most brilliant way: cast them as advocates for internet porn producers!

Turns out porn copyright infringement is as common as herpes and since a large percentage of all internet traffic is porn or porn-related, ‘pornographers’ would be the first ones calling for the law to be enforced. Mr. Polis makes the case that the United States Attorney General would be compelled to defend these so aptly called ‘pornographers’.

After citing this Sesame Street and Muppet related song, he goes on to make a suprisingly coherend argument! Lovely:

After keeping momentum in the first two primaries (Iowa and New Hampshire), Romney gets his behind handed to him by Newt Gingrich, in the latest round of what’s increasingly likely going to be a mammoth primary standoff with only technical knockouts at the end.

What’s going on here?

Well, quite simply, the right, moderate to far, is unsatisfied with the field of contenders they can choose from. Should they choose for Mitt Romney, who is a Mormon (problem for the evengalicals) and is as emotional engaging as a sad mime? Should they go for Newt Gingrich, who is as unstable and grandiose as a fusion explosion and is hated by the Republican establishment (who bring in the dollars to actually run a presidential candidacy)? Should they go for Rick Santorum, who is a bit far off at the deep end on abortion (even for christians) and seems to only have the backing of a specific tea-leave-loving-group within the Republican base? Or maybe just go with the old wacky guy, Ron Paul, who wants to go back to the gold standard after abolishing the FED and who has had some rather dubious stuff written under his name….?

Tough you say? Indeed! Interesting thing is: Obama is so weak right now he could lose to any of ‘em.

Now that the tapes are public, I hesitate to watch another Lethal Weapon ever again. Here they are. Beware, EXTREMELY offensive material inside.

Update: The third one (believe it or not) is actually kinda tame compared to the others.

To let the universe expand there has to be a driving force.
That force must be bigger than the sum of gravity which tries to contract it.
But not bigger than the speed of expansion would allow it to be.
There is a certain amount of detectable matter in our universe.
That amount of detectable matter/energy isn’t enough to explain the phenomenon.
The phenomenon is still there.
Science requires scientist to think harder.
Scientist comes up with a great solution.
We need more mass.
Because of quantum fluctuations, matter constantly ‘pops’ in and out of excistence.
So on a quantum level empty space actually has energy.
Energy is mass.
Empty space has mass.
Voila, we have so called Dark matter/energy.

Dark matter... Physicist are awesome.

The sum of all dark matter/energy and detectable matter/energy equates to the total energy of our universe.
The total energy of the universe is precisely zero.
A universe can begin from nothing.
If you have nothing in quantum mechanics, you will always end up with something.
